With the glorious weather that Massena has been graced with as of late, office tasks such as bank runs (which I’d usually dread due to the cold, wet, snowy/rainy conditions) have turned into a most welcome mini vacation. I imagine myself driving the half mile down the road to NBT Bank with my windows rolled down and the tunes up. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been much reason to go to the bank as dues have been barely trickling in, which at this point have put me at my desk doing a most hated duty. Collection calls.
To add to this inert task, our house was hit with a harsh stomach bug this past weekend that put a whole new meaning on being swamped. Yet, there is no rest for the wicked, and no such thing as a mom cold, so here we are battling the clock to get things done and out on time as well as trying to have my son ready for hockey in Louisville later this evening.
The highlight of my day however, was that we are currently coordinating a several Easter activities. Such as our Easter Bunny Brunch, to take place on Saturday, March 24th at 10:00am. For more details, you can click here.
Additionally, we partnered with the Seaway Valley Prevention Council and Massena Drug Free Coalition for an Easter Egg Hunt that will take place at the Community Center on Beach Street. For details click here.
Lastly, the Chamber in partnership with local business, Forevemore Studio will be partnering to provide Pictures with the Easter Bunny throughout the month of March on select dates. Details to be announced soon!
Personally, I find that coordinating events, especially for families is always fun and I always take great pride and joy in putting on an event that everyone can enjoy. Plus, it helps take away the monotony of the daily bookkeeping.
So, tell me, how’s your day going?
